Stefano Giappino has been part of the technical staff of the Politecnico di Milano Wind Tunnel since 2009. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering and holds a Ph. D. in Mechanical Systems Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Stefano has experience in wind tunnel studies in wind engineering and bluff body aerodynamics. He is specialized in measurement techniques in fluid dynamics, wind-induced vibrations, wind characteristics and probabilistic analysis of extreme winds, wind loads on solar trackers, crosswind effect on railway vehicles and sports aerodynamics. On these subjects he has authored more than 80 papers presented at national and international conferences or published on specialized reviews.
