The EU-funded HORIZON 2020 – SMS (Smart Morphing and Sensing) project), concluded in 2020, was a multidisciplinary project associating novel electroactive actuators and sensors to increase aerodynamic efficiency and attenuate vibrations and noise. A large scale wing section model with a trailing edge morphing flap was tested in the closed test section of GVPM including pressure measurements and PIV.
