Pirelli39 project involves the refurbishment of the existing buildings and the construction of a new residential tower in Gioia district, Milan. The study focused on wind loading for the Pirellino and Botanica Towers. Wind tunnel tests were conducted using a 1:80 scale model to estimate the cladding loads for the design of the towers’ façades. Additionally, the structural wind load, obtained using HFPI techniques, was used to design structural elements and evaluate the building’s structural response. Finally, local wind velocities were recorded over the balconies of the Botanica Tower, allowing for the estimation of wind-induced forces experienced by trees placed on the balconies.
