NEST advances theoretical, numerical, and experimental research on floating offshore wind technologies in the Mediterranean. Wind tunnel campaigns generate a comprehensive aerodynamic dataset for floating wind farms, supporting the development, validation, and verification of both high-fidelity and engineering simulation tools. The project also includes testing a floating vertical-axis wind turbine model, examining tilted configurations and motions typical of this technology.
