The ENI Headquarter is a complex consisting of three interconnected buildings, designed with a permeable double skin façade system (PDSF). The inner glazed skin is covered by perforated metal, allowing for gap flow development in the cavity between the two skins. The primary focus of the experiments was to assess the wind-induced pressure distribution on both layers of the PDSF. Specifically, external pressure distribution was measured on the inner face, while net pressure was used to estimate wind loading on the porous layer. Additionally, wind tunnel tests were complemented by a CFD analysis to estimate the expected flow rate through the perforated metal.
