A research program was carried out in collaboration with Enel Green Power to investigate the aerodynamics of PV trackers and to provide the company with the necessary tools for evaluating these structures, both in terms of equivalent static loads and potential instability phenomena. Wind tunnel experiments were conducted on a rigid model representing a portion of a PV plant (scale 1:15), as well as on a sectional model (scale 1:2) to identify flutter derivatives and critical wind velocities.
