The eSAILs® system developed by bound4blue represents an innovative advancement in Wind Assisted Ship Propulsion (WASP), offering significantly higher lift compared to conventional sails. Comprehensive wind tunnel testing has been conducted to thoroughly assess the aerodynamic performance of an individual sail and to evaluate the interaction effects between two sails arranged in various configurations. Additionally, the experimental results yielded a valuable dataset for the verification and validation of numerical models.
