The study focused on assessing the cladding load and structural wind load on the Arena, one of the main buildings of the new AsiaWorld-Expo. Wind tunnel tests were performed using a 1:80 scaled model to estimate the cladding load for the design of the Arena façades, including the permeable elements covering part of the Arena’s external surface. Additionally, the structural wind load, obtained using HFPI techniques, was provided to design the large roof area, which is approximately 20,000m² at full scale.
