Cycling helmet aerodynamic optimization
CFD driven optimization of a cycling helmet. The aerodynamic drag is due to the interaction between the wind and a cycling helmet and the interaction depends also on the position of the cyclist. The optimization was conducted in several steps, that involved not only the aerodynamic design, but also the product marketing. The final helmet has been tested in wind tunnel for the verification of the optimization results.
