Active aeroelastic aircraft structures

Experimental flutter identification and active flutter suppression (AFS) techniques. The X-DIA model designed and tested reproduces in 1/10 scale the architecture of a conventional regional aircraft. The model is suspended and  the flutter control is obtained using the aileron control surfaces. The project involves the University of Washington and it is sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) .
